I grew up on a small family farm south of Decorah. Growing up, our family raised corn, soybeans, alfalfa, and winter rye along with a beef cow calf operation. After graduating from Decorah High School in 2015, I continued my education at Northeast Iowa Community College and then Iowa State University where I majored in Agricultural Business. I had worked for a large Agricultural Cooperative in central Iowa before moving back home to work as an Agricultural Lender at Viking State Bank and Trust. I have always been a strong believer in leaving something in better shape than when you left it. I ran for Winneshiek County Soil and Water Commissioner with this same mentality in mind.
